SOMARO collects products such as food and household essentials as well as clothing, shoes, etc. from various companies and sells them at symbolic, highly discounted prices to low-income customers. The entire product range in the SOMARO markets consists of products, which are 100 % suitable for consumption but cannot be sold in other stores due to damaged or soiled packaging, because the best-before date will soon be reached or for other reasons.
SOMARO aims to be financially self-sufficient in its operations through its product sales. Since the products are donated, the beneficiaries are only paying the salaries of the staff and minimal overheads.
